Back in 1998, we had a similar concept, we termed it Tours.Online and put it as one of the options under Hotels.Online Singapore, which isn't very appropriate (name-wise and location-wise). That is the reason why we took it off and leave Hotels.Online Singapore alone.

We decide to bring back the concept, and came out with the term "Places", we couldn't find a more appropriate word that will describe all the listings we would like to see out. In branding it together with our sister site Hotels.Online Singapore, the name of the site Places.Online Singapore was born.

We further decided that this should be a place for EVERYONE. Whether you are a local or a visitor, whether you are a customer or a merchant, we want you to be a part of the site.

For Locals: Find out what you have been missing, and share with others what they have been missing!

For Visitors: No more relying purely on travel brochures, those are usually places that wants more of your money!

For Customers: Let the world knows if you have been treated well by an establishment, let the world feel your anger when you have not been treated correctly!
